Cursor 2.2: Debug Mode, Plan Diagrams, Multi-Agent Judging

TL;DR

  • Debug Mode instruments your app with runtime logs to find root causes across any stack
  • Browser visual editor lets you design and code simultaneously with live CSS editing
  • Plan Mode now generates inline Mermaid diagrams and supports multi-agent judging
  • Pinned chats and improved Ask Mode terminal access round out the release

New

  • Debug Mode — Instruments your app with runtime logs to find root causes. Works across stacks, languages, and models.
  • Browser layout and style editor — Design and code simultaneously with a sidebar component tree. Move elements, update colors, test layouts, and apply CSS changes to your codebase via agent.
  • Plan Mode inline Mermaid diagrams — Agent automatically generates and streams visuals into your plans. Send selected to-dos to new agents for more control.
  • Multi-agent judging — When running parallel agents, Cursor automatically evaluates all runs and recommends the best solution with explanations.
  • Pinned chats — Pin chats in the agent sidebar for future reference.
  • Ask Mode terminal access — Read-only terminal now available for better answers, like checking git commits.

Improved

  • Browser protection now controlled through settings on cursor.com/dashboard
  • Plans saved as files on disk by default and editable with normal tools
  • Local parallel agents stability and bug fixes
  • AWS Bedrock response performance improved for all users
  • Cmd+Opt+Arrow chat switching fixed; Ctrl+Tab behavior added
  • Explorer pane now auto-searches when typing after focus
  • Rules now support prompts, scripts, and more together inside folders
  • System notification actions for terminal and MCP approval/rejection
