New
- Linear integration for Agents — Start Background Agents directly from Linear issues. Delegate tasks to Cursor without context switching.
- OS notifications from Agent — Get native system notifications when agent runs finish or when input is required (e.g., approving non-allowlisted commands). Enable in Settings.
- MCP elicitation support — Cursor now supports the MCP spec's elicitation feature, allowing servers to request structured input via JSON schemas with validated responses.
- Improved Agent terminal review flow — Terminal now opens on the left with backdrop and border animation to highlight blocking states. Rejecting auto-focuses input for immediate response.
- Jupyter notebook enhancements — Tab now aware of full notebook context. Copy cell content in Chat references code instead of raw text. Edit notebook tools available for all models.
